Average change is calculated using the fold ratio formula, indicating the number of times the end of cohort unit changed from the beginning of the cohort. For an increase, the end of cohort unit is divided by the beginning of cohort unit. For a decrease, the beginning of cohort unit is divided by the end of cohort unit and the result is noted as a negative.
