†Corrections were made for sampling by multiplying the numbers in the manual workers and `other occupations' groups by 4, that is the reciprocal of the sampling fraction. Rates for accidents of different types receiving treatment from different sources (see table 2) were calculated by dividing this corrected total in each column by the (corrected) total for all children.
