Background Globally drowning is commonly found all over the world, however, this is more prevalent and one of the main causes of injury deaths in South and South East Asian countries. Last few years, drowning among the migrants increased worldwide as a result of using water ways as route and became an increased public health concern globally. Bangladesh is bordering with Myanmar and since 25th of August 2017 over 500,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh by crossing Naf river, which is located in between the border of two countries. Most of the people used a small fishing boat or Bamboo poles and empty jerry cans tied together with rope and covered with plastic sheet. In Bangladesh end, local people rescued Rohingya people without any rescue measures. As the Naf river connected with the Bay of Bengal so stormy weather also affected the fishing boat and caused drowning among the migrants.
