Brunei car seat programme

Over 30 child car seats were handed over to selected parents in August in a collaboration between Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Belait, Brunei and Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) on road safety awareness and to decrease the number of road fatalities in the country. As part of its continuous support of the government’s efforts in sustainable community development, BSP has been in close collaboration with Suri Seri Begawan Hospital to organise educational sessions on children’s car seats for the public, specifically new parents. According to BSP Information Manager Hj Yahkup Hj Menudin, hospital staff have been trained to educate new parents on how to ensure the safety of their children by the proper usage of child car seats.
