New Editor-in-Chief appointed
We are delighted to announce that Professor Caroline Finch has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief for Injury Prevention.
Professor Finch is Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Vice-President at Edith Cowan University in Australia. While best known for her sports injury prevention research, she has expertise in leading injury prevention research drawing on multiple research disciplines.
Ranked in the top 10% for career-long impact across all fields of research globally, she has received international recognition for her contributions. In 2015, she was awarded the American Public Health Association’s (APHA) Distinguished International Career Award. The Australian Government awarded her an Order of Australia (AO) in 2018 in recognition of her distinguished service to sports medicine. Most recently, she was awarded the Australasian Injury Prevention Network’s (AIPN) Special Award for Sustained Achievement in Injury Prevention.
Professor Finch officially took up her post as Editor-in-Chief on 1st January 2023, succeeding Professor Rod McClure.
