Measles immunization some factors affecting non-acceptance of vaccine

Some social and secular factors that have affected measles vaccine uptake in two communities in South London were identified in a survey of families with children eligible for vaccination. The most frequent reason given by mothers of children who were not vaccinated was advice of various types of members of the health profession. A clearer understanding of the indications and contra-indications of this vaccine is needed.
