Road incidents cost Ghana 1.6% of GDP

The deputy director of the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation of the National Road Safety Commission, David Osafo Adonteng, indicated that Ghana “wastes” more than 1.2 trillion cedi (€94 million, US$128 million) annually on road-traffic injuries.
